I have been taking photos for many years as a amateur photographer. In recent years having found myself with more time especially at the weekends I began to explore and develop my photographic skills.
Though I am still very much a novice compared to the many thousands out there who produce some amazing photographs I do try and experiment and as much as possible only rely on my instinct and the manual settings of the digital camera.
I take a lot of photos, (that’s the beauty of digital) as opposed to the years where you were cautious for every shot you took as you had to either pay for the process or in my case used a second hand enlarger, developed all my own black and white negatives and prints.
Perhaps it is all too easy these days using a digital camera, but I do always remind myself of the past and try to work manually as much as I can, rather than relying solely on the camera to do the work.
My photographic work is very eclectic and is principally based on what I observe. I do love the challenge of taking peoples photographs, there is a mixture of fear and excitement all at the same time, as you never really know how they will react, but it is a grea way to interact and learn about different pople of the world and makes you appreciative for what you may have.
I hope you like my work and I always welcome your comments and advise - I never stop learning or experimenting.
